Sadie is an American actress who began acting at age seven in local theater productions, and played the title role in Annie (2012–14) and young Queen Elizabeth II in The Audience (2015) on Broadway. Sink made her television debut in a 2013 episode of The Americans and her film debut in the sports drama film Chuck in 2016.

She had her breakthrough portraying Max Mayfield in the science fiction drama series Stranger Things. In 2021, she played Ziggy Berman in the horror film trilogy Fear Street and the lead role in Taylor Swift's romantic drama All Too Well: The Short Film. She also portrayed Ellie in Darren Aronofsky's upcoming psychological drama film The Whale (2022).

About Sadie Sink

Sadie Sink just wrapped Scott Free’s BERLIN NOBODY, where she shares the screen with Eric Bana and Sylvia Hoeks.

Sink will next be seen starring opposite Brendan Fraser in A24’s THE WHALE, directed by Darren Aronofsky. The film had its worldwide premiere at the Venice Film Festival and subsequently screened at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Best known for portraying Max Mayfield in the award-winning Netflix series STRANGER THINGS, Sink was able to shoot THE WHALE while concurrently filming season 4 of the show. Joining the hit series in Season 2, Sink received widespread critical acclaim for her performance this past season.

Sink starred as “Her” opposite Dylan O’Brien in Taylor Swift’s short film ALL TOO WELL, which won Video of the Year and Best Longform Video at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards.

Sadie began her career on Broadway in the revival of ANNIE, directed by James Lapine. She then went on to appear opposite Helen Mirren in the Tony Nominated THE AUDIENCE, directed by Stephen Daldry.

Sink starred in Netflix’s FEAR STREET PART 2: 1978, based on the novel by R.L. Stine. She leads the cast of the independent feature film DEAR, ZOE, and starred opposite Charlie Shotwell and Kelly Reilly in the Paramount/Netflixhorror film, ELI. Her voice helps narrate the animal rights DOMINION, along with Rooney Mara, Joaquin Phoenix and Sia. Additionally, Sink can be seen in the Lionsgate film THE GLASS CASTLE, based on the Jeannette Walls bestselling novel. She portrayed a young Lori (Sarah Snook) alongside Naomi Watts and Woody Harrelson.

Sadie previously starred in the NBC series AMERICAN ODYSSEY alongside Anna Friel and made guest appearances on many television shows including UNBREAKABLE KIMMY SCHMIIDT, BLUE BLOODS, and THE AMERICANS. In addition, she was seen alongside Elisabeth Moss and Liev Schreiber in CHUCK, which premiered at the TriBeCa Film Festival.
